Involutive hypoandria (late onset hypogonadism) is characterized by decline in serum testosterone and increase of gonadotropins. Changes of hypothalamo-pituitary-testicular axis sensitivity are influenced by primary testicular changes and altered neuroendocrine regulation during aging.
